Objective

This report focuses on participant experiences of the Peterborough Safer Supply Program (SSP ). It is a companion to the main program evaluation report for this SSP: Embedding a safer supply program in a small urban community: Peterborough 360 Degree Safer Supply Program Evaluation Report.

Findings/Key points

Results highlight diverse experiences of participants but an overall positive effects in various aspects of their lives. The combination of safer supply medications, primary health care, social support, and a participant-centred approach has clearly created a structure that supports participants in their own goal setting. 

Design/methods

The majority of data in this report is drawn from the second round of participant interviews as well as data from the participant assisted surveys. Additional sources include the first round of interviews with participants, program staff, other clinic staff, and partner organization staff.
