Objective

This report summarizes the literature on ketamine as a treatment for adults with substance use disorders.

Findings/Key points

In particular, the authors found two systematic reviews and one randomized controlled trial on the use of ketamine for the treatment of patients with alcohol use disorder, cocaine use disorder, and opioid use disorder. The results of which suggest that ketamine may be beneficial for this purpose.
