Objective

Little is known about knowledge and perceptions of fentanyl among people who are incarcerated.

Findings/Key points

Individuals had extensive knowledge of and experiences with fentanyl. Individuals employed identification and harm reduction techniques to detect fentanyl. Participants advocated for MOUD, regardless of preferences regarding fentanyl. Broad access to MOUD may aid individuals who continue to use or seeking recovery.
