Based in Tiohtià:ke (Montréal, Québec), Alexandra works for the Canadian Association of People Who Use Drugs as the Knowledge Mobilization Specialist for the National Safer Supply Community of Practice (NSS-CoP). With over 15 years working in harm reduction, she connects with people who use drugs across the country, works to build solidarity and collaboration among our membership, designs our monthly newsletter and graphics, plans webinars and special events, writes and reviews our resources, and engages with people on our social media platforms. As an active drug user, she is passionate about harm reduction, drug policy, safe supply, decriminalization, drug regulation, drug user liberation, and abolition. When not working, Alex likes to hang out with her dog Chicle, ride her bicycle, enjoy the outdoors, and practice acrylic painting.
