This news article discusses a study on the trends of opioid related deaths across Canada through the COVID-19 pandemic. Their main finding is that one in four of all deaths in the 20-39 age group was related to opioid toxicity. Therefore, it is necessary to support innovative approaches to the drug toxicity crisis like safer supply so that people have access to untainted drugs.
